Cookie Policy

Last updated 2026-09-06

Draft — pending legal review. This document is a non-binding draft and has not yet been reviewed by counsel. It does not constitute the final terms.

This Cookie Policy explains how Company Legal Name ("Modwheel Academy", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Modwheel Academy platform (the "Platform"), and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Effective date: Effective Date.

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time, keep you signed in, and help the site operate securely. Similar technologies, such as local storage, serve comparable purposes. Cookies may be set by us ("first-party") or by the third-party services we use.

Cookies We Use

Essential

Essential cookies are required for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. They include your sign-in session and authentication state, core preferences, and security cookies set by Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our sign-up and login forms against automated abuse. Because the Platform cannot work without these, they are always on and are not subject to consent.

Functional third-parties

Some features rely on third-party services that set cookies as a necessary part of delivering that feature. Cloudflare Stream sets cookies to deliver and secure course video playback, and Paddle sets cookies during checkout to process payments and prevent fraud. A course preview may be hosted on YouTube: nothing loads from YouTube until you press play on the preview, and the player then loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, which sets cookies only once you play. These are disclosed here as necessary-for-service; they are not used for advertising and are not gated behind the optional-consent categories below.

Analytics & Marketing

Our analytics run on a self-hosted Umami instance, which sets no cookies and uses no cross-site identifier. The Meta Pixel is our only marketing tool. It loads, and sets its _fbp and _fbc cookies, only after you opt in to the marketing category in the consent banner. It is switched off by default. When you withdraw consent it stops sending, and we delete those two cookies.

Managing Your Consent

When you first visit the Platform, a consent banner lets you Accept all, Decline (which keeps only essential cookies), or Manage your choices per category. After you make a choice, a small control button lets you reopen the preferences modal at any time to change or withdraw your consent. Declining or withdrawing consent does not affect essential or necessary-for-service cookies, which are required for the Platform to work.

Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, prompt you again through the consent banner.
